Primary School
PSLE Math (Primary 5 and Primary 6)
The primary school syllabus is organised along three main content strands - Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Statistics, with a host of mathematical processes that cut across the three strands.
At the primary level, heuristics is an integral part of mathematics learning and problem solving. Heuristics are general rules of thumb of what students can do to navigate through a challenging problem. These include Drawing a diagram, Tabulating, Guess and check, Working backwards, Simplifying a problem or Considering special cases.
At Math Viewpoint Learning Centre, primary school students will acquire the necessary skills and understand the various mathematical processes required to tackle PSLE-style questions.
